Canada Life is one of the largest financial and health care insurance providers in the country, with close to 20 thousand employees. They approached us in May of 2019 with a need for a DLP (data loss prevention) program that was going to be built from scratch.

The company at that time had no data loss prevention measures in place at all, and as such this provided an excellent and most welcome opportunity for SecureTab to prove its cyber security program building capabilities.

We started by doing an extensive data loss prevention assessment that looked at their network and data infrastructure and identified gaps that existed in it. We then defined use cases, and wrote processes that we determined would address those gaps and make it so that data would not be accessible through them moving forward.

The next part of the process was onboarding a DLP operation team along with establishing a CLP governance committee. At the client’s request we found ways to use existing tools and technologies to save on cost without compromising the effectiveness or reliability of the DLP program we put in place for Canada Life.

The client was so pleased with the work that they requested we extend our service contract with them for another year, and we also added Microsoft to the ______ to expand on our “leverage ability”
